Class Room Sod-Cutting Ceremony

The Me Boafo Foundation. , in partnership with our valued sponsors and supporters, joined Hon. Rebecca Chissah DCE of the Upper West Akim District Assembly, together with the chiefs and elders of Abamkrom, to officially cut the sod for the construction of a 6-unit classroom block for the Abamkrom Islamic Basic School.

Dr Maxwell Okpoti Mensah (PhD), Maxwell Mens Co-founder and Director of the Me Boafo Foundation expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Dr Emmanuel O. Addo, Founder and Executive Director of the Me Boafo Foundation, for his exceptional leadership and efforts in securing the Classroom of Hope Project from the Ebro Foundation in Spain.

He further encouraged the community to actively support the construction and sustainability of the Classroom of Hope Project, emphasising the collective responsibility to make it a lasting and impactful initiative for generations to come.

Hon. Rebecca Chissah commended the Me Boafo Foundation and its partners for their commitment to education, noting that “the greatest investment we can make as leaders is in our children’s future. This project is a shining example of true partnership for development.”

The Chief of Abamkrom, also speaking at the ceremony, expressed his gratitude to the Foundation for choosing their community, saying, “This classroom block will bring great relief to our pupils and parents. We will do our part to protect and support this project until its completion.”

This initiative, dubbed “Classroom of Hope,” reflects our collective vision to improve access to quality education in rural communities.
